Music/Xiqu

As one of the 2020 Community Cultural Ambassadors, “Music Beyond the Boundaries” by the Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble has linked individuals with disabilities, professional musicians and amateur music lovers together in hope to promote social inclusion and sharing the power of music in Hong Kong. Through participating in the Naamyam Performance Workshop and Erhu Classics Workshop, we aim at empowering the participants in their music learningjourney, and the finale concert provides them a platform to showcase their achievements. Apart from the workshops’ participants and professional musicians from Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble, guests including Tong Siu-yin (the only visually-impaired female Naamyam performer in Hong Kong), To Wing (famous Huqin musician) and Yang Enhua (visually-impaired Erhu performer) will perform in the finale concert as well. Music therapist Dr. Ng Wai-man will be the host of the concert and will lead the audience appreciating the beauty of the music whilst experiencing music therapy.
