Description
Hong Kong Dance Alliance(HKDA) is proud to present “Emerging Choreographers 2015”. Three active and talented young choreographers are selected among 18 applicants by HKDA and four panelists, they are Cliff Huen Tin-yeung, Joseph Lee Wai-nang, and Li De. Under the support and guidance of their mentor, Mr Daniel Yeung, a famed choreographic veteran, they will choreograph their own 25-minute original dance work and present in July.
Boys’ Power
In Cliff’s trio Still Human, he asks that have we lost our innate ability to use our sense and to recall primitive memories in a busy life which though be made easier through technology.
In the duet The Other End, Joseph tries to show us that every decision made would be turned around and make subtile difference of the outcome.
Another trio brought by Li, Wonderful/Wild, is inspired by a documentary about Shaolin Kung Fu. Li and his two dancers are going to break with traditional Kung Fu to reveal extraordinary aspects of the martial arts.
Dance lovers should not miss these three stunning and excited works in one night.
