Drawing influences from his Scottish heritage, strong Catholic faith and social beliefs, MacMillan has attracted international attention for his compositions. Invited as a guest conductor by Hong Kong Sinfonietta, MacMillan will be making his Hong Kong début conducting the orchestra on 8 Sep at HK City Hall.
Few days before the concert, music-lovers will have a close-up encounter with Sir James at Tai Kwun alongside Hong Kong Sinfonietta Concertmaster James Cuddeford as they give invaluable insights into their musical experiences.
