Superflat

Description

Description

“Superflat” is a postmodern Art movement, founded by the Japanese artist; Takashi Murakami; to denote his anime-inspired style of art. This new Art approach combines the “flatness” of various types of graphic design, fine arts and pop culture to create a new form of Japanese contemporary art.

“Superflat” also describes both the aesthetics characteristics of Japanese artistic tradition and the nature of post-war Japanese culture and society.
