A Regretful Story In The Tang Palace

Description

Description

The sad and beautiful love story of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Consort Yang has stood the test of time. The theatrical form of the story is still constantly produced. One of the most well-known part of their story is depicted through the poem The Song of Everlasting Regret by Bai Juyi – “High up in the sky, we would be lovebirds; On earth, we would be intertwined vines” became timeless lines that celebrate true love.
