The Taming of The Shrew
Description
Description
The Taming of the Shrew is one of Shakespeare’s most famous and popular comedies. With a rigid father who demands her first daughter to be married before the second, the story follows the fortunes of the beastly Petruchio as he attempts to tame Katherina, the headstrong, obdurate shrew. Meanwhile Katherina’s beautiful younger sister has no shortage of admirers who will resort to any trick, or adopt any disguise, to claim their pretty prize. This all-new Academy production offers a modern interpretation of the Shakespeare’s classic. Staged and directed by students of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the performances will provide new insights on this battle of love.
