13 + 3
Visual Arts

Description
Description
13+3′ stands for the sixteen prisoners of conscience recently sentenced to jail
Among the participating artists, some are the companions of the 13+3 in every day and night. Always on the side of their fellows, these photographers captured the activists’ moments of action in protests and moments of everyday life. Some are Hong Kong’s veteran photographers, using their works to respond to social changes and expressing their pressing concerns for the events they witnessed.
This is also an unfinished exhibition. There are pens and post-its here; please write down your words for the 13+3, or some related photos, and post it onto the wall. We will collect the notes and deliver them to the13+3.
In the end, art is inseparable from the society, right?
Note:This event record is compiled from "Hong Kong Visual Arts Yearbook 2017" published by Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
