Description
Description
Staged eight times in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan, 1587, A Year of No Significance received critical acclaim from every sector. The play is an adaption of the book of the same title written by Ray Huang, a renowned historian across the straits, in Europe and America. Little narratives reflect grand history – Through a year of no particular significance in the Ming dynasty, historical factors that would have affected China in the subsequent century are revealed with the integration of video screening, live performance and explanatory talk in this special matinee. Schools, youth groups, social services organisations, and senior citizens are welcome to apply.
