Having received consecutive years of generous sponsorship from Lee Hysan Foundation, Chung Ying continues its mission to nurture youth aged 8-17 in theatrical art through Yuen Long˙Tin Shui Wai Youth Musical Theatre Group. The year-long programme includes musical training, drama appreciation, community touring performances and voluntary works, offering troupe members wide-ranging artistic and social exposure for personal growth. The original musical staged for last summer, 999 Super Star, showcased the youth’s acting talents and delivered the message of positive learning attitude to audience. The members visited 4 elderly centres for community touring performances during Chinese New Year 2015. It was a delightful experience to both the youth and elderly, empowering care in the community. In March, the troupe was invited by The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts to participate in Performing Arts Marathon, connecting people in the community through theatrical art.
