A Lonely Planet B

Description

Description

“A Lonely Planet B” is based on the author’s travels in Taiwan. It is also a story of “lost and found”. The fireworks paint the sky red and there is a stench of gunpowder in the air. The main protagonist gazes at the harbour that is no longer Victoria’s, utters an oath and jumps into the sea. She swims and swims and swims… Later, when she wakes up, she finds herself on an island. There are mountains and water, but no cars or buildings. There is also beer. They drink. One takes a sip, and the other takes a sip; he says something, then she says something. They have come from different parts of the world to arrive at this same spot. They have something in common – they are lonely souls.
