A / Part: Early And Recent Works of Alfred Ko Chi-Keung
Visual Arts

Description
Description
From the curious encounters in the adventurous travels to the Mainland in early 70s, to critical contempt for the commercialised urban conditions of recent years,, the images gathered here might, at their best, make up only a scant and scattered testament to our rapidly changing times. The images are so vividly compelling due to the atmospheric renditions and visual effects. The rather meandering trajectory of the artistic development has, in effect, drawn out of its own scope of exploration over the years, cumulated in a rich body of work that covers a diverse range of subject areas of social import. The impact of the works is enhanced through the utilisation of distinctive, expressive style, while meticulous attention is given to the most fleeting of impressions and, time and time again, brings out unexpected and compelling insights.
