Description
Scrooge is the protagonist in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Much like the original, this story begins on Christmas Eve, but now song and dance transport Scrooge from the past through the present to the future. Scrooge’s journey is guided by the ghost of his good friend and three spirits. In the end, he learns the truth about happiness. Join us in the theatre during festive December as we search for dreams and hopes while enjoying warmth and good cheer.
The premiere of Scrooge! – the Musical won three accolades at the Hong Kong Drama Awards, including Best Actor (Tragedy/Drama), Best Makeup and Image Design and Top Ten Most Popular Productions. For this second revival, the production transfers to the stage of the Lyric Theatre, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The wider stage allows even more flexibility in realizing this production — a perfect occasion for families to celebrate the holidays with laughter and song!
