China Flows: Chinese In Cuba – Photography Exhibition By Lau Pok Chi

Description

Pok Chi Lau, who was born in Hong Kong in 1950. After working for one year in a dead-end job on the graveyard shift in an electronic factory, in 1969, he left for Canada and the United States to pursue a career in photography. In 1975 he was granted a BFA in Industrial and Scientific Photography at Brooks Institute of Photography, and in 1977, an MFA, specializing in social documentary photography at the california Institute of the Arts. For the last four decades, he has been documenting the Chinese Diaspora.
