Description

Description

Ping Shun Chan is a native HK painter who studied art in the US and Canada. While in earlier years he has dabbled in various approaches to visual art (including abstract painting), Chan is now primarily interested depicting his perspective of the modern world via traditional representational techniques. Some notable artists who have most influenced Chan’s artistic development are: Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin, Giorgio Morandi, and Antonio Lopez Garcia.

Elena Klimova is a Russian artist based in HK. She studied art at the Abramzevo Art Industrial College near Moscow, with an emphasis on traditional painting techniques and ceramic art. The move from Russia to Hong Kong has provided Elena with a torrent of visual and cultural stimuli which continue to inform her artwork. She paints in oil and watercolour, both in the studio and en plein air.
