Description
Description
In January, Hanart TZ Gallery will feature Part II of “50 YEARS of LEUNG KUI TING”. Paintings from the 1970s until recent works will be brought together to present a rounded picture of Leung’s career over half a century. To resonate with Leung’s landscape paintings, and to throw light on the spirit of “mountains and rivers” (Shanshui) from the angle of new media, we will screen a 3 channel video work, “FRAGMENTS of AUTUMN”, by Qiu Shiming. The artist spent 2 years at Fuchun Mountain making this film, which is intended as a contemporary response to the celebrated 14th century handscroll “Dwelling at Fuchun Mountain” by Wang Gongwang. Reception for artists Leung Kui Ting and Qiu Shiming will be held on 2nd January 2015, Friday, 6 to 8pm.
Note:This event record is compiled from "Hong Kong Visual Arts Yearbook 2015" published by Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
