Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival 2017: Festival Finale

The 8th Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival

Description

Description

The 8th Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival comes to a spirited conclusion at our Finale in Sha Tin Town Hall. In addition to an encore performance of the Schumann Quartet, American cellist Nicholas Canellakis comes together with locally-based pianist Evelyn Chang to perform Brett Dean’s evocative Huntington Eulogy, inspired by the natural features and beauty of the Huntington winery in New South Wales, Australia. The Festival concludes with the inviting and lyrical Concerto for violin, piano and quartet by Romantic composer Ernest Chausson, whose boisterous finish is the perfect way to bring in the Chinese New Year.
