Reference articles of the Chinese Language curriculum are used as the starting point of the performance script. The content of the articles are played out in a theatrical format, based on the six elements of play put forward by Aristotle, i.e. character, plot, thought, diction, spectacle and music. Students will not only learn about theatrical elements and human spirit, but also bring new interpretation and meaning to the original texts.
Articles selected for the secondary school group are Retreating Figure by Zhu Ziqing, The Most Bitter and the Most Joyful by Liang Qichao. Articles selected for the primary school group include Junior Environmental Pioneers, The Trial of Judge Bao and the Stone, and Alice in Wonderland, etc. There will be three primary, two secondary and two special schools participating in the finale performance.
