Lifein Hong Kong Mime Performance By We Draman
Theatre

Description
Description
Established in 1993, the We Draman Group is led by its Art Director, Tang Wai-kit, one of the few Hong Kong artists to have received formal mime training. He persists in emphasising “body” elements in creativity, and collaborates with various organisations in mime performances.
This production by the We Draman Group consists of four chapters: namely Clothing, Food, Shelter, and Transportation. With Pantomime, Corporeal Mime and clown character creation as its technical backbone, the performance is accompanied by modern music, and has a simple set together with a humorous approach. Students are presented with different facets of life in Hong Kong, including joy and sorrow, dreams and nightmares, and hope and despair.
A 30-minute interactive educational session will be conducted after the performance. Students will reflect on each chapter, in relation to the current situation and future development of society, before further discussions. This session also introduces students to the way to appreciate and enhance their interest in mime.
