Prince Jiuxian, The Patriot
Description
Description
In ancient times, the Central Plains is a target of foreign tribal armies. Yet, there is no great military leader in court. To identify talents, Prince Jiuxian disguises himself as a civilian and visits Mengjin County under the pseudo name of Wang Xianjiu. He is robbed and no one could help him. Woodcutter Wang Hua, not knowing the true identity of Prince Jiuxian, sees how the old Prince suffers and brings him home as his guest, treating the Prince in civilian disguise as his own father. Wang Jinliang, the son of Wang Hua is 18 years old. Jinliang is clever and he is a skilled martial artist. Prince Jiuxian teaches the young man to read military literature and encourages him to sit for the imperial exams at the city. The magistrate of Mengjin County is a corrupted person. Jinliang makes a scene at the examination hall and leaves in fury. The magistrate is very angry and he takes Prince Jiuxian into prison. Wang Hua goes to the capital city to file a lawsuit for the wrongdoing; he is well received by the Princess, who finds out the old man staying at Wang’s home is indeed her uncle. The Princess goes to Mengjin personally and punishes the corrupted magistrate. Wang Jinliang pacifies foreign invaders at the borders with distinctive performance. He is named the Great General for pacifying foreign tribes and is honoured with the title of the new successful candidate of the imperial examination.
