Description
Description
Carving out an epic world in musicThe husband and wife duo – Robert Zollitsch, aka ‘Lao Luo’, and Gong Linna – has become a legend with their Tante (Chinese meaning ‘uneasy’), which went viral on the internet and has been dubbed a ‘divine melody’. In appreciation of Lao Luo’s profound insights in Chinese culture and audacious attempts to explore the ‘twilight zone’ where the edge of Chinese music is still stretching, the HKCO is presenting Lao Luo in his upcoming concert entitled Tante•Uneasey and Beyond. The entire concert programme will be dedicated to his works, while his wife, Linna, who is known also as to have injected ‘soul’ and ‘spirit’ into his music along the way, will demonstrate her vocal pyrotechnics on this occasion. Also interpreting Lao Luo’s music will be dizi virtuoso Wang Hua and Niu Jiandang, Guest Principal Suona of the HKCO, who will perform two of his concertos. Expect the unexpected, in a concert experience that will change your outlook on ‘Chinese music’ forever!
