World of Dancing

“World of Dancing” is a non-profit making organization found in 2000. Last year, a sizable dance studio was established in “Youth Square”. World of Dancing has organized 9 dancing shows, and has organized and co-organized the major events of “Hong Kong Dance Festival 2013”, namely “Dancing Beans ─ Dancing with Fun in Eastern District” and “Dancers of Genius: Showcase in Hong Kong” respectively in 2013. Moreover, the dance troupe also participated in the chorography and performance of the dance poems ─ “The Trace of Migrators” and “The Great River” presented by Association of Hong Kong Dance Organizations. One of the dance pieces “Children at Work” from “The Trace of Migrators” was invited to present in the “Flag-raising Ceremony and Reception of the 12th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region”.

“World of Dancing” has also joined numerous dance competitions, and have been awarded “Overall Best Performance” for two times. In 2012, the dance troupe took part in the “National Elites of Art Award”, and was awarded “Gold Award in the Best Artistic Achievement”. In recent years, the dance troupe has actively organized a variety of functions in Eastern District, including dance fun days, workshops and dance shows. As a mean for community giving, “Dance with Care” provides dance course at a discounted rate that catering for the underprivileged in the community.
